Next up, the Princeps Senoris of my favourite maniple style in the game, the Ferrox! Princeps Senoris Agdex is a lead from the front type homie. He has a flair for destruction and more often than not, his Assault Reaver Titan - Mors Miles isn't spared from copping it either. I play Mors Miles and it's matching counterpart Atro Messorum quite aggressively, often pushing the two up together then rotating the lead titan so they can share the damage taken before dishing it back out within the Melta half range. In the most recent event, Mors Miles was detonated in 2/5 games due to this play style but it created opportunities to take the objectives or for other Titans in the battlegroup to get the kill shots while also claiming quite a few engine kills of his own. Hey y'all, I've still been chipping away at Adeptus Titanicus stuff. I really freaking love this game and was lucky enough to get a spot to go and play at Act of Heresy V in January so wanted to get everything finished and ready for the event. I wrote a short piece for each of the Titans and created a Princeps for them, I'll open batting with the big kahuna, Princeps Maxima Dhrykax in his Warlord Titan, the Deus Bellum. I normally go small time with my character creations (Sergeants, Lieutenants, Centurions and the like) but because it seems that I'm one of the only guys on the planet who's really committed to Legio Vulpa from the game release, I've gone big and named the boss himself. I doubt Black Library or the Forgeworld Specialist Games team will ever swing back around to them again and they've had their moment in the sun with Titandeath so I'm going to develop more of the back story and own the Legio one bit of narrative at a time. Yoyo, Ive got some finished pics of my Warlord Titan, Nuntio Dolores, based off the featured titan in the Black Library Novel, Titandeath, released earlier this year. I actually finished it a couple of months ago but I forgot to upload photographs here.. Maloghurst the Twisted / SoH Traitor Legion Herald Maloghurst the Twisted / SoH Traitor Legion Herald Maloghurst the Twisted / SoH Traitor Legion Herald Sons of Horus Contemptor Cortus with Kheres, Power Claw and Grav Gun Did up a little kitbash of old mate Maloghurst for an event on the weekend, I will use him as a Herald alternatively. I didn't go too heavy on the chipping or weathering as he isn't a front line unit, in games he actually never gets out of the Spartan as long as it's in one piece so he's still pretty fresh. I also did up a claw for my Contemptor with a grav gun on the inside, I generally run this guy as a Cortus in games to get his points down to 165 and the benefits can be pretty handy!

Finished this rig tonight! I went all in again on a bunch of techniques and tried to replicate a few things from Mig Jimenez' books FAQ and FAQ2. Had a bit of a malfunction with the pigment splatter going white when I put the protective clearcoat on the model but fixed that up I think with a bit of extra airbrushing. ~1800pts of Sons of Horus - Yew! I did a bit of a consolidation of bits and kits and worked out I have about 6000pts for the Sons of Horus available including a Lucius Warhound. I'm getting through it pretty quickly now but also trying to build some components for a gaming table at the same time which is kinda holding me up a little bit. I'm currently working on Abaddon with some extra arms to use him as a generic Praetor, 3 more Justaerin and a Spartan so I can run a little 1st Company Deathstar. After that will come the 3 gun Quad Mortar team, a Legion Rhino with a pintle MM for the Vets and a pair of Javelins with CML's and pintle MM's. After that again will be the pair of Vindicator Laser Destroyers and at that point I might treat myself and do up the Warhound and enter the titan club. Hey dudes, Not really been so stoked about a dedicated transport before, but this is a huge kit! I did a bit of custom stuff with the chains, skulls and icons, shaved off the aquillas on the doors and added some of my angle-studs to the doors. The paint job is actually something I am kinda proud of, it's the first time I have really done any airbrushing gradients properly on a vehicle, it's not perfect but I think it turned out ok. I put a heap of the Cthonian gang symbols around the base of the pod at Marine head height, like they are doing it before the pod drops and the big guy goes into battle. Weathering post paint work was composed of sponge chipping, weathering pigments, pin washes and streaking, airbrushed scorch marks from the turbine on to the top fins and also airbrushed and streaked scorch marks from the bottom of the pod up. Yew, got a new squad done for the SoH! This is the first time I have done an airbrushed black with the stylised highlights as seen in the WIP photos preceding this post and I'm quite happy with the results. Previously I was a little lost to do with black aside from some line highlights and weathering pigments, it lightens the models up a bit but I really like the effect. 925pts down, Reavers are up next, hopefully a week or two as I am working in the bush at the moment and they were the only dudes I had airbrushed and ready for detailing. I didn't have a lot of time this week so I just punched out this Lictor pretty quickly.. Dude's a murderer so I kinda wanted him to be coated in gore, I'll try and acquire some bitz to add a body in the future as well but at the moment all I have is Tyranid stuff. The tree is actually pretty shit hot, the other pics were slightly out of focus so I will try and show it again at some point in the future.  Hive Fleet Behemoth Lictor, just lurking by trees and hunting men for sport in his leisure time.

I haven't painted in ages, Infinity cracked me actually. I don't know what it was, I think it was because I couldn't paint them as well as I wanted to, or even remotely how Giraldez paints the studio miniatures and it just did my head in. I owe my friend Wozz big time for giving me a lot of the Tyranids that are in my force, he was good enough to ask me to paint this miniature for his pre-heresy Ultramarines and I set to it this weekend before his tournament this week. I did a similar style to what I had put down on my Red Scorpions of old but without the chipping. It was quite fun to paint a space marine again actually and I am quite happy with the result. I'll see if I can use him as a launchpad to paint again and come out with some more Tyranids for Behemoth.
