Infinity - Hephaestus Scenery Pack + District 5 Objective Room

I did a bit of terrain painting today which was kinda fun! It was the simple MAS District 5 Objective Room, something we will need for gaming in the near future (As I get more of a handle on playing again and we start with the ITS missions). I didn't do the most time consuming job on it but I am still pretty chuffed with the results.

A couple of weeks back I gave the 4x4 Moto.Tronica table to my friend Dan who hosts our fortnightly gaming night, and ordered 4x sets of the new Hephaestus card stock terrain to match my Aleph dudes. The objective room was painted up to be a similar aesthetic to the containers included in the pack with a Blue/Black fade and bold line highlighting on these areas. The grey has a diagonal fade between light and a darker shade across the panels and I will paint in some of the floor detail with a brush to match the Hephaestus game mat aesthetic (purple text etc). The design on this one is not quite as good as the Moto.Tronica set, some of the layers appear to have not scaled up well for print and the text overlaps lines that it really shouldn't. I still like the Hephaestus 'table' a lot though and the more subtle colouring of the mat should be a bit easier to find your miniatures and markers on than the Moto.Tronica where you can lose stuff quite easily.

I've also ordered from Customeeple the Angel Giraldez designed base toppers for Aleph to match this, as well as the ITS objective set they produce. I cant wait for that stuff to arrive! I'm holding off on painting miniatures at the moment until they get here so I can rebase the whole lot I have done so far, then press on with the new stuff. Back to Tyranids for a little bit I think...

Mors Miles - The Death Knight - Legio Vulpa Maniple 13.

Next up, the Princeps Senoris of my favourite maniple style in the game, the Ferrox! Princeps Senoris Agdex is a lead from the front type homie. He has a flair for destruction and more often than not, his Assault Reaver Titan - Mors Miles isn't spared from copping it either. I play Mors Miles and it's matching counterpart Atro Messorum quite aggressively, often pushing the two up together then rotating the lead titan so they can share the damage taken before dishing it back out within the Melta half range. In the most recent event, Mors Miles was detonated in 2/5 games due to this play style but it created opportunities to take the objectives or for other Titans in the battlegroup to get the kill shots while also claiming quite a few engine kills of his own. Acastus Knight Porphyrion COMPLETED!!!!!

Acacstus Knight Porhpyrion, easily the biggest and most complex kit build and paint job I have ever done for a gaming miniature. I'm really happy with the result but the 60 hrs I spent on getting it finished kinda baked my noodle. I have no idea how the titan painters get through it! Anyway here are some studio shots, let me know what you think! Hey Dudes, I don't think I ever chucked up a photo of this bad boy but getting and painting one of the new option heads was a good excuse to get some decent photographs. It's my favourite knight chassis but my least favourite head so I'm really glad they released some options. That's it for a while, we're up to date with what I've done now. I'm gonna set to making a gaming table and some terrain again and will continue to add some units to both the knight force and the Death Guard. <3 Jack
